President’s Message – Sep/Oct 2021

Good evening Dogwood Club! I trust this letter finds you all well and enjoying travel wherever you might be. Jean and I have been pretty much "grounded" for the past month or so, between caring for new a granddaughter, being sick, and dealing with gall bladder surgery. But, better days are ahead! I managed to make it to our 25th Anniversary rally in Ashland, and can't give enough credit to Connie, Andrea, Patti, and Karen - THANK YOU FOR A GREAT RALLY! The video that Paul Cummings built for us is now posted on the blog site, and please take time and watch it - lots of great pictures, shots, screen cuts, and interviews. Please send a big thanks to Paul for this production - he really did an outstanding job for us.

I know that the Urbanna Oyster Fest Rally is coming up that first weekend in November and that our Rally Master, Henry, has some good information on it for us in this month's report. And of course, we will be having the Christmas Rally in December, so please mark your calendars and get your reservations in.

We had our EAMA meeting back on October 2, and the minutes, Area VP reports and financial report are posted on our blog site for your review. Please note the EAMA has rescheduled GEAR for July 13-16, 2022 back in Lewisburg again; Jean and I have made our reservations for the FMCA 104th International Convention in Tucson, March 23-26. I have fixed a bunch of little things on our rig; just received the new turn signal/cruise control/hi-low beam arm switch and rewired the trailer wiring harness, all in preparation for the Christmas Rally, and this rally in Tucson.

For now, safe travels and we'll see you down the road.

Regards,

Ed Herbert

Dogwood President
