| GEAR 2023 |
Hello Dogwood.
GEAR was a lot of fun! We had a good turnout from Dogwood and we enjoyed visiting with some folks we had not seen in a couple years! We also met a lot of new folks and welcome several new families into Dogwood. On the way out, we traveled with Jim and Susan Buelow, overnighting at Glen Maury County Park Campground in Buena Vista, VA. There, we met several good folks from Penn Coachmen and they very graciously invited us to join them for dinner – The lasagna and company were wonderful! Thanks to them all!
On to business – For our new and seasoned members alike, I wanted to share a few tips on the Blog that I hope will be helpful to you.
Here is a picture of the shortcut menu bar on the Blog.
Now, you may be wondering why I circled the Dogwood Chapter… Well, because clicking on it (actually anywhere on the logo) will bring you back “home” to the top of the main Blog page.
I also wanted to draw your attention to a relatively new section in the Blog Reference Information Sections along the right-hand side of the main page (pictured below). I added FMCA New & Items of Interest and included the results from the recent “Announcing The Results” email. The section below that is not new, but you can see we share the Eastern Area News and a link to the GEAR registration. And by the way, clicking on the FMCA logo or the Eastern Area Map will take you directly to their respective websites. I hope these are convenient and helpful. If you have ideas for items that would be useful to Dogwood members, please submit them via email and we will look at how to incorporate them into the Blog.
Under the Reference Documents Section on the right-hand side of the main Blogsite, we have a lot of good information available to you. Not only the Standing Rules and the Chapter Bylaws (that we should all be familiar with), but also Dogwood Apparel. You are encouraged to purchase and wear these items at all chapter activities … Links to the order forms are available for our Dogwood nametags, tee shirts, and mirror covers.
Show off your Dogwood Pride!
Here is a screen capture of the section. Each bullet is a Link that will take you to the desired document or form.
And finally, I wanted to mention our “Celebrating Birthdays and Anniversaries” page posted with each newsletter. We would like to help you celebrate your annual milestones – Please send me your dates so we can include you on those special months.
Hope to see you at one of the upcoming rallies!
