CARE PERSON REPORT by Susan Buelow May, 2020
The Meyer’s – As you know, Dave was diagnosed with throat cancer in January. He finished seven weeks of intense radiation and chemotherapy treatments a few weeks ago and although the treatments took a lot out of him, he is doing very well and recovering slowly. His first visit to the doctor resulted in good news and we hope and pray that future visits in June and July bring more good news. Prognosis is good and Dave and Nanette are taking things one day at a time. GOD Speed Dave and Nanette.
The Cummings Family – Amy, Paul and Nancy’s daughter is recovering from the loss of a portion of both legs over a year ago. She is wearing prosthesis on both legs now, continues with physical therapy, and is getting along very well. Nancy is still in WY caring for Amy, while Paul and Dixie are in VA caring for things here. Keep up the good work Amy, and we miss you Nancy.
The Robison’s - Dale is tentatively scheduled for a knee replacement on June 11th. After the surgery, she will go through about 6 weeks of physical therapy. Good luck Dale.
Please keep our Dogwood Family members in your thoughts and prayers, along with others who may be in need, and keep me informed.
And during this terrible Pandemic, please keep your distance, wash hands frequently, take care, and be SAFE.
PS: Last minute update to the Care Person Report. Just got word that Rob Hill has the Shingles. Jim Spoke with Donna after we heard the news and she gave us this update. Rob first started having symptoms of something last Sunday and was diagnosed with the Shingles shortly after that. He was given an anti-viral medication and after a week things are improving, but it has been painful.
Donna recommends the Shingles shot if you have not had it. She got the shot and Rob didn't, and he has the Shingles. Hang in there Rob and get well soon.
