Greetings Dogwooders,
Independence Day has come and gone. My hope is that you celebrated heartily and continue to celebrate each and every day going forward.
Speaking of celebration, Dogwood celebrated its 15th anniversary at Rockahock June 24 - 26. Everyone had a great time and as usual enjoyed delicious meals and an abundance of camaraderie. We were especially pleased to have present Dogwood charter members Steve & Judy Czarsty, Amelia Winn and Max & Barb Hicks. Jerry and Millie Cohen were guests of honor. Jerry, VP Eastern Area of EAMA , presented the Chapter a Certificate with a genuine gold embossed FMCA seal recognizing Dogwood's 15th anniversary as he read a message from Judy Czarsty, FMCA Sr. VP and Acting President. Notice if you will who is standing behind him.

Images of both the certificate and the letter are included in the web site's photo section. The original documents will be retained in the Presidents files unless or until the chapter has a historian with an Archive file.
Elsewhere in eNews you'll find a report from Dogwood's audit committee. During the next few weeks, I'll review the various issues identified and will prepare a response which will very likely include some recommended changes to Dogwood's standing rules. I'll plan to call for discussion and a vote at Dogwood's next business meeting, probably in September. Notice will be sent prior to the meeting.
