Highlights from Rockahock Rally

Sixteen coaches gathered at Rockhock for the celebration of Dogwood's 15th anniversary.  Hosts for the rally were Mann & Carolyn Duff and Fred & Maxine Luxton.  Click here to link to photos.

Those who arrived early on Thursday gathered for a covered dish bbq dinner.  The rally officially kicked off Friday evening with happy hour followed by a Taco Bar dinner.

Saturday morning the men impressed the group once again with their culinary skills and an egg and sausage breakfast.  This group of men ceases to amaze me.  Mann asked the cooks to show up at 8 am; when I walked over at 7:30 they were all there ready to man their grills. A business meeting was held after breakfast.

Special guests for the weekend were Jerry Cohan, Central area VP of EAMA and his wife Millie. We were also glad to have Steve & Judy Czarsty join us for the day Saturday. Judy is currently the acting President of FMCA and a candidate for President in the upcoming election in Madison.  Saturday evening several more Dogwood members, Donald & Carol Warthan, Paul & Nancy Cummings, and Amelia Winn joined us.  We were glad to see Donald and Nancy recovering from their recent surgeries,

Jerry Cohan presented the group with a 15th anniversary certificate.  We were fortunate to have several Dogwood charter members present:  Judy & Steve Czarsty, Amelia Winn and Max & Barbara Hicks.  Other Dogwood charter members who were not present include:  Buddy & Jean Franklin, Audrey & Donald King, and Ed & Connie Tilman.

We enjoyed a delicious beef tenderloin dinner prepared by the Luxtons followed by cake and ice cream to commemorate the event.

During the weekend, some attendees managed to fit in some outlet shopping, others enjoyed bbq at Williamsburg's famous Pierces, and as usual, everyone enjoyed just sitting around the coaches and chatting with fellow members.
