Member Concerns

Please keep the following members in your thoughts and prayers:

  • Jean Plott whose husband Ralph passed away on February 9. They were RVing in Florida when Ralph was hospitalized for pneumonia. Betty Gray Faber stated that Ralph will be buried in Pulaski, however, she thought there would be a memorial service in Richmond.
  • PLOTT, Ralph M., 80, of 8180 Redgate Lane, Mechanicsville, Va., died Monday, February 9, 2009 in the Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center, Sebring, Fla. He was born in Norfolk, Va. on February 11, 1928 and was the son of the late Omar Adam Plott and Atchie Bradley Plott. He was a retired employee of C&P Telephone (now Verizon), a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in WWII and was a mason. Surviving are his wife, Jean Kirby Plott of Mechanicsville, Va.; and sister, Mary P. Pollay of Chesterfield, Va. A graveside service was held Saturday, February 14, 2009 from the Draper Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Draper, Va. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 1 p.m. from the Fairfield Presbyterian Church, 6930 Cold Harbor Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Pulaski, Va.
  • Susan Buelow whose father recently passed away.
  • Tom and Marilyn Nolte whose son is recovering from surgery and chemo and radiation treatments for a malignant brain tumor. Fortunately he is doing very well and did not loose any of his senses or motor abilities. He recently returned home and to his job.
