Dogwood 20TH Anniversary Rally Registration Information

by Jim  Buelow

A rally to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Dogwood Chapter of FMCA will be held 3-5 June, 2016 at Rockahock Campground – 1428 Outpost Road, Lanexa, VA 23089. As this is our 20th anniversary, we are inviting not only current Dogwood members, but also former members along with FMCA and Eastern Area Officers. On Saturday evening we will have a special program to commemorate our anniversary with special presentations and prizes. If you have any items or short stories from the past, please bring them along, and we will try to include them in the program. Please contact Jim Buelow, 757-876-7399 with any questions or ideas. Your hosts are the Buelows, Cummings, Hicks, and Sohles.

Campground Reservations: Make your reservations for the campground directly with Rockahock Campground at 1-804-966-8362. Please do not make your reservations online as it will confuse their system. Be sure to tell them you are with Dogwood to get a special 3 day rate of $99.00 plus tax for full hookup sites. Additional days will be $46.00 if you want to come before Thursday or stay after Sunday. A block of 40 contiguous sites has been reserved for us. Click here for campground's website for directions and additional information.

NOTE: If are attending without a coach and are interested in staying at the campground, Rockahock does have yurts and cabins for rent. Call 1-804-966-8362 for information.

Jim & Susan:
Thank you very much for the invitation.

Marilyn and I ENJOYED some of the happiest times in our lives with our coaches and especially with the Dogwood group. They, one and all, were a group of wonderful people. We miss the good times we had with them.

We will be unable to join with you at the 20th anniversary celebration, as Marilyn is under Hospice care and cannot travel.

We wish you “Fair winds at your back”, good health, and safe journeys

Tom

* Former Dogwood member Carson Christian passed away. Our condolences to Carolyn and the family. Carol and Donald Warthan attended the memorial service and saw several other former Dogwood members.

* Our condolences to Terry Davis on the loss of his father.

* Our condolences to Butch and Liz Jones on the loss of Roxie, a special 4 legged Dogwood member.
